I recently had a less-than-satisfactory experience during my stay at [Hotel Name]. While the hotel itself provided decent accommodation, I encountered an issue with the late checkout policy that left me quite disappointed. I had notified the hotel via email about my need for a late checkout, receiving a response that didn't mention any additional fees. However, upon checking out, I was charged an unexpected $30 without prior notification. This lack of transparency regarding the late checkout fee was frustrating. To make matters worse, when I approached the front desk to discuss this, the receptionist's attitude was far from accommodating. Instead of a professional and understanding response, I found myself in an argumentative situation, which was both unprofessional and unwarranted. I believe in clear communication and fair policies. My experience did not align with these principles. I hope the management will take this feedback seriously, review their communication practices, and ensure that guests are informed about any additional charges associated with hotel policies. I appreciate your attention to this matter.

Great and affordable hotel in a prime location in the CBD. Security deposit is $200, but you can pay in cash. This was returned to us immediately when we checked out. Highly recommend cash if you want to avoid the delay in getting your deposit back. Rooms are good with plenty of storage space. They are a bit small if you go standard, and the shower was frustrating at times with getting the correct temperature and handles falling off. The beds were also quite hard, but very big. Paper thin walls and creaky floors, but guests were respectful and quiet. Room was cleaned every day, but it did feel wasteful as the shampoo, conditioner, and soap was thrown out and replaced each time even though they weren't empty/finished. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
